When returning to Arviat, I hope to expand on a previous initiative I developed there to establish a positive and safe space for young women to engage in conversation and activity. This group will provide opportunities for dialogue and sharing of common challenges they have overcome, hopes and fears they have for their future and current struggles. Ultimately, the group will support their empowerment to ignite change in their own lives and community.
